Slip-N-Slidin!

We are all happy that it has finally cooled down just a bit this past week! Don't get me wrong, we love the sun but sometimes that heat that comes with it is just a bit too much! We had our friends, the Kovals, over one night for dinner and slip-n-slidin to cool off. The girls had a blast with one another and spent the majority of their time running up the hill and sliding back down again. Us adults were in shock (and felt down right joyful!) that we were able to have adult conversation and a beverage without being interrupted :) Here are a few of my favorite pics from the evening!

Tea Party!

The girls are always begging me to have a tea party with them using all the "fancy" things that Dave and I got from our wedding. During the school year we were always rushing around from here to there so I finally had a tea party with the girls this week! They loved eating from our china plates and even got to have Sprite in their own tea cup! Life is simple, sweet and good!

Please note that I was getting absolutely NO cooperation for this last picture :)

Our Little Cow Girl!

Dave and I were busy cooking dinner one night last week and we couldn't resist taking a few pictures of Taylor in her daddy's cowboy hat! Yeehaw!

The Fountain!

Holy Hotness! We are loving the warm weather on this side of the mountains but have been doing lots of activities with the water to keep cool! The girls have been begging to go to the fountain and so we took an especially warm afternoon and spent it getting soaked by the water!

Before heading out to the fountain we had lunch...Maddie is our outside girl- if it's nice you always know where to find her. She has all her babies and stuffed animals up in the tree house part of the swing set and sits up there for hours on end. Love it!

Waiting, waiting, waiting....

Oh my gosh! It really did squirt water up! AAHH...run!!

Who can resist this smile? We've nicknamed her Jack-O-Lantern...one tooth missing on top and two on the bottom!

Crescent Bar!

Woohoo!! Summer Vacation is here and with that a (tentative) promise to get our blog back up and running! Life is good here in the Myers house! Summer is in full swing and we started our vacation off with an 8 day stay over the mountains. We met my mom and eventually my sister and her kids at Crescent Bar.

We got the girls an electric snow cone maker....it was a nightly treat at C.B.!

Mid way through the trip, Dave and I drove to Spokane for the principals conference and then came back to Crescent Bar to pick up the kids. Spokane was interesting....being a teacher, hearing about cut backs and then seeing how money was, in my opinion, being wasted on lodging and food was a bit hard to swallow. However, it was a much needed mini vacation for Dave and I (and I'll take that vacation wherever I can get it- even in Spokane!) and we truly enjoyed ourselves- spending time by the pool, walking to town to see Hoop Fest being played, eating and enjoying beverages together!

Crescent Bar was it's usual wonderful little paradise! The girls had an absolute blast! Swimming, boating, playing with their cousin- lovin life in general! Until next time.... (I promise, it won't be another 4 months!)

We love that our kids LOVE to read! Taylor is really starting to be an actual reader which is so fun to watch! Maddie loves to look at the pictures and make up her own words and they both LOVE to be read to! Yea!

The four cousins! Taylor, Maddie, Paul and Emilie!

Both Taylor and Maddie are amazing with baby Paul!
