Mustache Bash!

I mentioned in an earlier post that I've become obsessive about Pinterest . Obsessive could be an understandment. Just saying. One of my friends is getting ready to have her second baby in a few weeks. So, Krista and I threw her a baby shower this past weekend. Krista did all the food and supplied the clean house and I did all the decorating. While perusing through pinterest a while back I came across a few blogs that had done a mustache themed baby shower and I got to thinking about how cute that would be for Krista and I to do. I had a ton of fun making all this stuff and loved seeing our friends face when she saw it all! We are looking forward to adding baby Wesley into the mix soon!

And my favorite? A photo booth! (remember, I told you that you'd see this again!!) This is our friend Jen as cute as can be! She is a total picture fanatic and so this was the perfect thing for her shower! She had lots of fun posing with all her friends and family!

Basketball!

Basketball season has arrived for the Myers house! Dave and I couldn't be more thrilled that Taylor is playing basketball again this year! We've made a big change and left the YMCA and have joined a new organization called Upward. I have to tell you that I've been really impressed by the whole thing. Each practice focuses on a fundamental that the kids should be working on. The kids earn stars to iron onto their t-shirts during both practices and games and the stars represent different things; hard work, team work, etc. Dave is coaching Taylor's team and they both seem to be having fun! She's had two games so far- she's yet to score but is bound and determined to get the ball into the hoop!

The true highlight though is that before each game they call out the kids names and they get to run through this tunnel! Even Maddie was almost convinced to play to just be able to run through the tunnel! She quickly decided against it once she saw the girls playing in the game :)

New Years Eve!

We really stepped it up this New Years Eve! Usually, our core group of friends gets together at one of our houses and we spend the evening playing games, eating and watching the kids run wild! This year though, our dear friend Jen turned 40 and so we partied 80's style at a local hotel. We all got dressed up and danced the night away to a local band. Let's just say we were all a hit! It was a fantastic night filled with lots of laughs, dancing and good friends!

Yes, Dave and I set up the tripod so we could take this picture....and yes, that is Dave's old basketball uniform from 8th grade.....and yes, we know it doesn't really fit him anymore :)

I don't have words for this....Can I tell you though that people were chanting USA, USA by the end of the evening AND he was like a local celebrity- getting his picture taken left and right!

Me? I borrowed my outfit from my sister! You can't beat a jazzercise leotard!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from the Myers family! I've missed updating our blog a lot. I could go into a really long, boring list of why I haven't been blogging but it all boils down to a really old computer that just wasn't cooperating with me and Dave and I finally breaking down and buying a new one. So, here I am! Back in action!

2012 has started out wonderfully for us! Stayed tuned for the fun things we've already been busy doing!
